How many times per day does iKitty feed my cat?

You can fully personalize your cat’s feeding schedule. Our in-app feeding calculator helps determine your cat’s ideal number of daily meals. For an average 4–5 kg indoor cat, this typically means 4–5 capsules per day, plus 50–100g of dry food.

How do I set up the iKitty feeder?Setup is quick and easy: connect the feeder to your Wi-Fi, load the capsules, and you’re ready to go. The iKitty app will guide you step-by-step.

How big is the iKitty feeder – will it fit in my home?Yes, the iKitty Feeder is designed to blend seamlessly into modern homes. Its dimensions are approximately 45 cm long, 50 cm high, and 21 cm wide - compact enough for most kitchens and living spaces.

How can I clean the iKitty Feeder?

Cleaning is hassle-free: all washable parts are dishwasher-safe. We've designed it with hygiene and convenience in mind.

What kind of food is in the capsules?

We know cats can be picky eaters. That’s why we offer a variety of high-quality recipes and continuously work with pet food experts to expand the selection. You can also tell us your cat’s favorite brand—we’ll do our best to bring it into the iKitty system.

The iKitty Feeder holds up to 15 capsules, covering several days of feeding depending on your cat’s diet.

Can I use my own cat food in the capsules?

To ensure hygiene, safety, and the optimal functioning of the feeder, only official iKitty Capsules are compatible. That said, we’re constantly expanding our food partnerships—tell us what brand you love, and we’ll try to make it available.

Are the capsules recyclable or environmentally friendly?

Yes. iKitty Capsules are made from recyclable aluminum and designed to minimize waste while preserving freshness. We're also working on additional sustainability initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint further.

How long can I store iKitty Capsules?

iKitty Capsules stay fresh for up to 6 months thanks to a sealed, preservative-free process.

Do I need to refrigerate the iKitty Capsules?

No. The capsules are shelf-stable and do not require refrigeration—making feeding easy and mess-free, even when you're away.

The iKitty App is completely free. No subscription is required to set feeding times or monitor your cat's nutrition.

How do the Pre-Orders work?

Pre-orders are open for a limited number of early adopters. You won’t be charged at sign-up payment is only due when we ship your iKitty. If your pre-order is successful, you’ll receive a confirmation email.

When do we start shipping?

We plan to begin shipping in 2026. Pre-ordering ensures you're first in line and receive the best offer at launch.

What can I control with the app?

You can schedule feedings, track usage, view nutrition insights, and monitor your cat’s feeding habits.

Is the app free or do I need a subscription?

The iKitty Mobile App is free - No subscription is required.

Does the app notify me when a meal is dispensed?

Yes, real-time notifications are sent to your phone.

Do I need the App?

The App allows you to monitor your cat's nutrition and feed remotely. However, you can also install the feeding schedule on the iKitty Feeder's Touch Screen.

What happens if the internet connection drops?

No worries—iKitty continues feeding your cat as scheduled. All feeding times and settings are stored locally on the device. You just won’t be able to make remote changes via the app until the internet connection is restored. Any changes made during an offline period will sync automatically once back online.

Is the app available for iOS and Android?

Not yet - the iKitty app will be available on both platforms soon.

Can multiple people access the app?

Yes, multiple users can be connected to one iKitty device.
